About FrootMap

It all started with a lemon!

Standing in front of an abundant lemon tree, with countless perfectly fine lemons fallen to the floor, we wondered, how could we be more resourceful with community produce and ensure all off this food didn’t end up as waste?

FrootMap was born!

With fruit trees and vegetable gardens growing in the back yards of homes everywhere, we are using innovative mapping technology to give everyone the opportunity to access affordable, fresh local produce.

FrootMap empowers local neighbourhoods to participate in a vibrant local economy, promoting sustainable living and healthy eating. By facilitating easy and meaningful exchanges of local fruits and vegetables, we aim to grow connected communities, reduce food waste, and support environmental stewardship.
